Our 2 step polishing compounds can take you up to the mirror finish you're looking for. They are by far the best in North America. They require less sanding making your guitar project even easier. For ease of use we recommend wet sanding to a minimum of 1500 grit before polishing. These compounds are specific to nitrocellulose lacquer and work very well. Even stopping at 1500 grit you can achieve a mirror finish if desired. It won't hurt you to sand up to 2000 or even 3000 grit but, it is not necessary. There are many methods for polishing but this one is fairly straight forward and works well. Our compounds come in 4 oz bottles which is enough for 2-3 guitars. They can be applied by hand or machine buffed.
Note: Our medium fine can achieve a mirror finish with our fine/extrafine producing and super high gloss (wet look) finish.
Step 1 Medium/Fine
Removes scratches left by wet sanding and returns gloss and shine.
Step 2 Fine/Extra fine
Removes any scratches or swirls for a high gloss finish. (wet look)
