Appeared and was used heavily in the 70s when Fender shifted to their "earth tones". It is a Trans Colour. However, it does vary from year to year and guitar to guitar on how dark and opaque it ended up. Some appear almost completely opaque brown, others are very transparent. With this formula you should be able to dial in your exact look based on the number of coats you use. Apply over a sealed guitar body. Looks best over Alder. Apply until desired colour and coverage is achieved. Then clear coat.
